Spin and Gold at GGPoker: multipliers up to x200,000
Spin & Gold is a short three- or six-handed tournament where a wheel sets the prize pool before the first hand. Usually it lands on a small multiplier; rarely on the top one - and a $5 buy-in turns into $1,000,000. That is the appeal, and the trap.
- $0.25 to $200buy-ins
- $1,000,000top prize
- 7%fee
- equal to the buy-ininsurance

Pick a buy-in from $0.25 to $200, sit three-handed (or six-handed with buy-ins up to $20), and the wheel sets the multiplier before the first hand. The winner takes most of it; high multipliers pay every seat. The room withholds 7%. Insurance costs the same as the buy-in and refunds it when the wheel lands on the minimum x2 (x4 in 6-Max).

The wheel
Before the first hand the multiplier spins. Higher multipliers mean deeper stacks and slower blinds.
The tournament
Short levels, stacks of a few dozen blinds: the game turns into push-fold quickly.
Payout
Normal multipliers pay the winner; high ones pay every place.
Three or six players
The classic table is three-handed: shorter, lower variance, wider ranges. 6-Max, with buy-ins up to $20, is longer and deeper with a more careful early stage. The room describes both on one page, so "how many players in Spin & Gold" honestly means "three or six, depending on the table you picked".
Insurance: worth it?
Insurance costs equal to the buy-in and refunds the buy-in when the minimum multiplier comes up - x2 three-handed, x4 in 6-Max. The minimum is the most common outcome, so insurance is a bet against a dull game. It does not tilt expectation in your favour, but it smooths variance for players who grind many spins in a row.

Strategy and honest maths
On the minimum multiplier the game is push-fold from the first hands: keep a range chart handy and never limp. On big multipliers stacks run deeper and patient post-flop play wins. The format\'s trap is waiting for the top multiplier: by the room\'s own tables it appears a handful of times in hundreds of millions of games. Play spins for short tournaments with a clear structure and treat $1,000,000 as a rounding error. Bankroll for spins: Bankroll.
